My main approach is process-oriented psychology (processwork), while also being trained in various approaches to bodywork, EMDR trauma work, and Sociocracy – organisational counseling.
Since 2016, I work in my private practice, under supervision of Dr. Med. Marianne Verny, and training mentorship by Jana Sarah Kašáková and Slávka Takáčová.
Here is more about my work.
▾ Process-oriented psychology
Process-oriented psychology or Processwork, is a psychotherapy, counseling and facilitation approach. It evolved in the 1970s from Carl Gustav Jung’s Analytic Psychology, adding to it working with the body, relationships and groups, and devising a systemic approach.
I apply it in my work with individuals, groups, families and organisations.
My focus is on the ongoing dynamics of the person or the group. Together, we develop a deeper awareness and understanding of the overall process and its potential for change.
▾ Our Inner and Outer Relationships...
We will unfold transformational processes of your inner and outer life, relationships, conflicts and life challenges.
We will create a dialogue and form relationships between your different inner parts, witnessing yourself as an inclusive team, a home and a world in itself, welcoming all parts with curiosity and support.
In the same way, we will foster fluidity in interpersonal interactions or conflicts. In a relationship as a system and a home, I will assist each member individually, as well as bring attention to the life of the relationship or a collective as a whole.
▾ Our Bodies...
We can work by talking, and without talking: with the body, through movements, sounds and silence, creativity and art.
Somatic experiences and connection with your own body are encouraged, as the body is a very wise advisor and a good partner to our mind.
▾ ... and the World
We are all social beings, sharing the world. Processwork considers personal issues at the social and systemic level as well, within our families and social networks, communities, society and the planet.
The Rank Theory lies at the core of Processwork, observing the power dynamics in our relationships, groups and society.
Conflicts arise largely due to unawareness or abuse of power at the psychological and social level, with material and bodily consequences. By bringing awareness and unfolding the power inequality, we will empower agency, making possibilities and solutions more clear and attainable.
▾ Working together
I will assist your change with a supportive and non-pathologizing approach.
We will co-create sustainable solutions, by placing the focus on:
- existing resources and present
- your sense of meaning, and the future, along with
- attentively listening and understanding the causes and your past.
I like seeing this in the way that “the cause” for some experiences also lies “in the future”, not only in the past. As we can’t change what has happened, let’s see which meaning and change can we make of it - personally and collectively.
▾ Your feedback and my personal presence
The most important path that I follow is your feedback. I don't assume or interpret your experiences or give recipes as to how to live your life. I work with and support your needs and possibilities in the way that serves you the best. We will attentively consider insights and solutions from the processes unfolding in your life, offering new possibilities and ways of relating to yourself and to the world.
I want to develop a trusting process between you, and me as the counselor. I am very present as a person, relatable, communicative and friendly.
